Note that it might not be the exact same files for 5, but it's pretty similar. So if you copy the data from vanilla 5 and 5XL discs, combine them into one folder, make an ISO from that folder, when you select Load Original in 5XL you don't have to swap discs, as it'll find the files it needs. All the game does when checking for vanilla 5 is look for some some data files that tell the game that the original game is being loaded. It does have the best graphics, however PCSX2 can also make the game look much better than an actual PS2 so the difference is negligible.įurthermore, because of how disc swapping works for the earlier Dynasty Warriors games on PS2, you can make a custom ISO that has 5XL and vanilla 5 on one disc. So it's an incomplete, weird mishmash of 5 and 5XL.
From what I recall Legend Mode and Destiny Mode are missing, but I may be wrong. The PC version of DW5 is only in Chinese and it has some modes from 5 Xtreme Legends, but not all of them. Not because I care about piracy (the game is abandonware at this point anyway), but because you're getting an inferior version. Gwyn, I would advise just playing 5 and 5XL on PCSX2.
